Software Developer

We are a world-wide operating software company. Our expertise is the realization of innovative solutions for the IT management based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA). As committer to open source projects (e.g. Apache ServiceMix) we not only use open source technologies, but also actively contribute to them.

Currently we are expanding towards further functionality of our MIDAS product family and are looking for a software developer Windows.

Location: Stuttgart, Germany 

Your Tasks

Within a team you develop software solutions for the IT management, i.e. for the monitoring and control of large, complex IT environments.
You participate in specification, design, implementation and test of corresponding software products and solutions for large enterprises. You learn specific customer requirements, technologies, development methods and tools an use them.

By joining our team, you will be part of a focused and empowered software development team with world-wide responsibility for the development of components for our MIDAS product family.
You will be working on on all phases throughout the software lifecycle.
You develop step by step towards a technical expert or a project lead.
As experienced software developer, you support our customers with your expertise, and are also an important internal facilitator.
As project lead you will be responsible for functionality, schedules and costs within development projects.The participation on international fairs and symposiums enhance your expertise and helps to keep it up to date.

Your Profile

You hold an excellent masters degree (university or advanced technical college) in computer science or as Mathematician / Engineer / Natural Scientist with programming knowledge.

You have the following qualifications and experiences on the corresponding areas:

• professional knowledge of software engineering and its methodology

• well-founded knowledge of object-oriented programming

• programming knowledge and experience in Java and/or C++

• knowledge and experience using operating systems (Windows and/or Unix)

• experience in software development on and for Windows

• very good knowledge of the technologies COM, DCOM und WMI

• pragmatic problem solving approach

• good communication skills

• ability to work independently as well as in a team

• like to learn new technologies and methods

• solid English

Desired further qualifications are:

• knowledge about WEB infrastructures

• relational database systems (e.g. Oracle)

• expert systems, rule-based systeme (e.g. Jess or Drools)

• OLAP and data warehouse technologies

• GUI technologies, especially Web UIs based on AJAX

• modern communication technologies (e.g. SOAP or ESBs)

• XML-based technologies (e.g. XSL, XSLT, XQUERY und XPATH)

• fluent German

Ideally, you know IT management products (HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, BMC Patrol, Nagios, etc.).
